Ranger's launch day, this shows her as she slides out of Bath Iron Works for the first time. Ranger was Harold Vanderbilt's third J-class yacht, and he commissioned her soley for the America's Cup races. Ranger was built completely new with the exception of her winches, mainsail, and rigging which came from Rainbow.
