A photo of the J-Class yacht Ranger during the Nichols Cup races. This was a trial race to determine the 1937 defender of the Americas Cup. Ranger was commissioned by Harold "Mike" Vanderbilt solely for this purpose, and went on to become a success during the 1937 Cup races. From the Edwin Levick Collection.
