DESCRIPTION SITE :

The celebrated sloop, designed by Nat Herreshoff, successfully defended the America's Cup in 1903. The largest single-masted vessel ever built, Reliance was capable of speeds reaching 17.5 knots on her maiden voyage, driven by her 17,7330 square feet of sail.The model is constructed of a epoxy resin with carbon fiber planked over in teak, teak deck, cabins and skylinghts of cedar, mast and boom of spruce. All appropriate deck gear and authentic rigging.
