DESCRIPTION SITE :

The schooner yacht "America" faced e daunting task of crossing the Atlantic Ocean before indelibly marking sporting history with her deed in British waters in 1851.

There is quite a tale told about "America" before her proudly American crew won the 100 guineas trophy from the Royal Yacht Squadron.

The painting "GHOSTING" relates to the period before the black schooners exploits gave birth to the most excessive sporting lust; the desire to win the "America's Cup"!

Original oil on canvas; signed & dated by the artist.
