Thistle, the Watson designed gaff cutter was the America's Cup Challenger of 1887 and later became Meteor I, the German Kaisers private yacht. She is 35 metres over deck and a staggering 43 metres overall! This yacht would be one of the largest and certainly fastest gaff cutters on the classic racing cirquit.
