Harold S. Vanderbilt´s J-class boat Rainbow photographed on August 17 1934 during the King´s Cup Race off Newport, Rhode Island. My processing and colorization of a photo in the Maritime Museum archive in Stockholm (Fo134393). The photographer is not known.

The Rainbow, which successfully defended the America´s Cup in 1934, was built in 1930 in just 100 days by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. in Bristol R.I. The constructor was William Starling Burghess.
