Endeavour II , new America's Cup Challenger, launched at Gosport. Endeavour II , Mr T O M Sopwith's new challenger for the America's Cup, was launched from Camper and Nicholson's yard at Gosport, Hampshire. GOSPORT, England, April 15 (AP).- The America's Cup challenger Tom Sopwith, Endeavor II, has been revived yesterday to cheers. The racing yacht had a crew complete when he entered the water. She was commanded by George Williams. In accordance with the rules of the America's Cup, the Endeavor II will cross the Atlantic on its own canvas as much as possible, although it be assisted by a Belgian liner who will tow it when sailing not possible.
