Endeavour II, America's Cup challenger, across the Atlantic. Endeavour II , Mr T O M Sopwith's new America's Cup challenger, arrived at Bristol, Rhode Island, after a trip across the Atlantic. The sleek craft was towed across the ocean with rigged with a jury rig to relieve the tow rope of part of the strain in case of heavy seas. Former challenger, Endeavour I , which is to assist in Endeavour II's preparation for the races, did get separated from her tow vessel in mid-Atlantic and had to complete the voyage under her own sale.
