One of the innovations of Enterprise designer, W. Starling Burgess, an aircraft pioneer, was the wide "Park Avenue" boom that allowed the mainsail foot to slide from side to side. another to assume the best shape.
Working at an interval of 50 years apart, Starling and his father, Edward, designed a total of six defenders.
