EDITION : 1937

DATE : 1930

DESCRIPTION SITE :

Say farewell to Enterprise and the other J-Class yachts, which became painfully expensive to build and sail. Most J's were broken up (two exceptions were the first Endeavour and the Shamrock V, which are still sailing). When the 17th match finally took place in 1958, the Cup contenders were yachts half the size and three times less expensive than the J's.
