Brackman, David (1932-2008) UK (14)

Category: PAINTERS

BrackmanDVBorn in London in 1932, David Brackman is considered to be one of the most outstanding marine artists working today. He is a keen yachtsman and aboard his yacht, 'Panache' has sailed in many waters, made transatlantic passages and has spent considerable time during the past 10 years cuising in the Mediterranean.

DavidBrackman1His love of the sea shows in the run and state of the seas he paints. After leaving college David turned to a marine model-making career which accounts for the high degree of technical accuracy in his work. During this period his preoccupation with painting became more pronounced and some twenty years ago, with the encouragement of many admirers and clients in the USA, he decided to paint full time. His success was immediate as clients recognised his exceptional talents and high standards. David's work is in the possession of the Royal Family in addition to some of the finest private and corporate collections in the world.
