Brown built schooner yacht AMERICA (built 1851 in East River, NY) underway. Visible in image: port bow view of AMERICA (C/10) on starboard close reach under gaff- rigged main and foresails and topsails, fisherman's staysail, forestaysail, jib and flying jib, vessel has very long bowsprit, burgee flying from mainsail.
