DESCRIPTION SITE :

View down the main deck of Shamrock off Southend 1935, on a close reach in light airs, showing:
1) The bending boom with its struts and tackles
2) ENDEAVOUR comingup astern with a huge Yankee jib-topsail - a single ultra light headsail occupying the whole fore-triangle and standing out well full while the mainsail, like SHAMROCK's is hanging idle. The backstays are noticrable, with then 7 and 11 ton strains respectively.
