Clearly a different contest to the Anglo-American Round-the-Island Race of 1868, this work depicts "Cambria" romping home across the Squadron's finishing line at Cowes to the cheers of spectators ashore and afloat. Newly-built for the 1868 Season, "Cambria" proved the most successful schooner that year and ended her maiden season with four first and two second prizes to her credit.
