Kenneth Evans, marine artist Figurative Realism in Studio, more Impressionistic En Plein Air. His favorite themes are large nautical scenes and historical marine scenes. A native of coastal Stamford, he now resides in Yarmouth Port, MA.
A musician, poet and philosopher, engineer and lawyer - all resources from which to draw for his consistent passion art. Educated in oil painting by distinguished Russian painter Kiril Doron, and later studied marine subjects with John Stobart and others. With a shore front upbringing he sailed and raced a great deal, sketched sloops, ships and catboats, and recalls his life being run to the rhythm of the tides. Kenneth has had one-man shows yearly since 1996. He is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) and an Elected Artist and teacher at the Mystic Art Association. His work has been seen many times at the Cape Museum of Fine Arts and is in numerous private collections. He had one of the featured pieces in the American Society of Marine Artists exhibit at the Cape Cod Museum of Fine Arts in one of the museum's major summer exhibits " Masters of the Sea." He has the featured piece at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum and has a one person show there of his series "The Cape's Lost Ports," Fall of 2012.
