WrightBVFor many years, Mr. Wright has been a professional painter with a particular interest in marine and landscape subjects. He works outdoors in all seasons, and paints in both watercolors and oils. Most of his paintings are completed on site.

A resident of London, Mr. Wright spends almost two months a year abroad exhibiting and painting. He and John Stobart have been close friends for years, and each year they go on a painting expedition together, with Maine being one of their favorite destinations. They especially like to explore out-of-the-way spots that have not been discovered by tourists, and have painted many hidden coves and harbors along the rugged coast of Maine.

WrightB2Mr. Wright's paintings are in private and corporate collections worldwide, including the United States, the Middle East and the Far East. A number of major international corporations have commissioned his work including the Standard Chartered Bank, New York Yacht Club, the Sultanate of Oman, Lord Stevens and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Mr. Wright is past President of the Royal Society of Marine Artists, as well as a member of the Wapping Group of Artists and the Chelsea Art Society. He also serves as President of the Ealing Art Group, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and Governor of the Federation of British Artists. His work has been shown in national exhibitions in London, throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. His work is listed in "Twentieth Century Marine Painting" and he has won many awards, including a prize in the Sunday Times/Singer Friedlander International Watercolor competition.
