Here is a summary of all races to perform the classification of the 16 challengers for the America's Cup between 1870 and 1937.

For each race, we calculate a percentage of the gap in corrected time relative to the winner's time. The same calculation is performed for all the races of a challenge. The final classification is defined with this percentage.

A "J-Class" yacht is a single masted racing sailboat built to the specifications of the Universal Rule. The J-Class are considered the peak racers of the era when the Universal Rule determined eligibility in the Americas Cup.
The J-Class is one of several classes deriving from the Universal Rule for racing boats. The rule was established in 1903 and rates double masted racers (classes A through H) and single masted racers (classes I through S).
